Giovani dos Santos vs USA (Gold Cup 2011)

With the score tied in the Gold Cup final, Mexico was pushing for a winner. When a sloppy clearance fell to Giovani dos Santos, he didn’t just shoot—he waited. He hopped on his standing leg to adjust his timing, allowing the ball to bounce, before unleashing a perfect dipping volley over the head of a frantic Tim Howard. The goal completed Mexico’s comeback and sent the US defense home with a lost look. It was so cold that Tim Howard still hates watching replays.
