6 Actors Whose Lives Became As Tragic As Their Characters

Carrie Fisher – The Princess Who Died In Space (Sort Of)

Fisher played Princess Leia, a galactic rebel who spent her life fighting in a galaxy far, far away. In 2016, at 60, she suffered a cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles and died four days later. The woman who played a space princess died on an airplane – trapped in the sky, far from the ground, just like her character was always soaring through the stars. Leia’s journey in the final Star Wars film was completed using unused footage. But Fisher’s real-life ending was written by fate – and it was cruelly poetic.
