Oscar Pistorius – The Blade Runner Who Killed His Girlfriend

Oscar Pistorius was a global inspiration—a double amputee who competed against able-bodied athletes at the Olympics. Then, on Valentine’s Day 2013, he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door. He claimed he thought she was an intruder. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to 13 years in prison. He went from being a symbol of human triumph to a convicted killer who took an innocent woman’s life. His name will forever be associated with one of the most shocking crimes in sports history.
