6 Craziest MMA Fighters Who Did The Most Unhinged Stuff

Rafiel Torre — The Fake Black Belt Who Committed Murder

This one is the stuff of nightmares. Rafiel Torre was a fake BJJ black belt with an imaginary 14-0 MMA record, fake SEAL past, and a phony Brazilian lineage. He lured Bryan Richards into a gym he owned and strangled him to death with a rear-naked choke. A jury convicted him of premeditated murder, and he’s now serving life without parole in a California prison. Joe Rogan himself became involved in the investigation after speaking to a witness whose phone was wiretapped by police. A fake black belt with a real body count.
