5 Celebrities Who Were Hated When Alive — And Loved After Death

Jade Goody – The Most Hated Woman In Britain

Jade Goody shot to fame on Big Brother in 2002 and was immediately branded “the most hated woman in Britain.” The tabloids called her “a pig,” mocked her intelligence, and tore her apart for her working-class background. Then, at 27, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She documented her final months publicly — and the public’s opinion did a complete 180. By the time she died in 2009, she was a national hero. She even increased cervical cancer screenings across the UK.
